Jacqueline Freeman, Esq. is an attorney based in Michigan and currently serves as the Senior Director and Special Advisor to the President for Engagement, Civil Rights, and Title IX. She holds a master’s degree in professional counseling, which enhances her approach to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within both organizations and the legal profession.
Jacqueline conducts training workshops on implicit bias and is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee. She also chairs the State Bar of Michigan Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program. Additionally, Jacqueline is a commissioner on the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs (COLAP) and serves as the Vice-Chair of the ABA COLAP Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Furthermore, she represents Michigan ABA-accredited law schools on the Commission on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Michigan Judiciary. This commission was established in 2021 to evaluate and address demographic and other disparities within the Michigan judiciary and justice system. Jacqueline has been reappointed for another term after her initial one-year appointment, allowing her to serve on the commission through 2026.
