Katherine A. Gustafson

I joined the full-time faculty at Cooley Law School in 2014. Before then, starting in 2008, I was a visiting professor and coordinator for the Academic Resource Center, coordinating and teaching Introduction to Law classes, skills seminars, and Legal Research and Writing.

I graduated with honors from Cooley Law School, where I served as Comments Editor of the Law Review. Before attending law school, I graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University with a degree in Public Relations and Business Management. I have also served as a legal research specialist for LexisNexis, and as a grading assistant and an adjunct instructor. Previously, I was an attorney with Mahjoory, Mahjoory, and Beery, PLC, where I worked primarily on personal injury, criminal defense, and family law matters.

I am a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation, a member of the William Reece Smith, Jr. Litigation American Inn of Court, and the Florida Bar Business Law Section faculty liaison.

I teach Torts, Evidence, Civil Procedure, Introduction to Law, and Research & Writing. I am also the faculty adviser for the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and the student chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.
